Understanding yourself. Experiencing things differently. Having greater choice.

I’m Leanne Butler, an experienced clinical psychologist providing individual psychotherapy on Glenferrie Road in Hawthorn, Melbourne and via telehealth.

My work centres on developing a strong, collaborative therapeutic relationship, creating the space to understand yourself more deeply, explore what may be keeping you stuck and experience things in new ways.

Together, we work towards greater freedom and choice in how you respond, relate and live.

How I can help

Finding your way

People come to therapy for many different reasons. You may be feeling anxious or overwhelmed, noticing the same patterns repeating, struggling in relationships or sensing that something in your life no longer feels right.

I work with people experiencing anxiety, chronic stress, burnout, perfectionism, self criticism, relationship difficulties, grief, trauma, intense emotions, body image concerns and periods of significant change.

Together, we make sense of what you are experiencing and what may sit underneath it.

About Leanne

Therapy asks for more than simply listening.

I’m a warm, engaged and interactive therapist. I listen deeply, but I do not simply sit back. I’ll be alongside you, helping us understand what is happening and finding a way forward together.

After more than 20 years in psychology, I continue to value the trust involved in being invited into another person’s inner world.
